MANNY PAQUIAO-MANIA HITS LEYTE ONCE AGAIN

Tacloban City (November 18) – With only one day before the “biggest show in Vegas,”  the Manny Pacquio- mania has hit Leyte and the whole of   Eastern Visayas , once again. The radio stations, the newspapers, television network and the corner-store talks are centered in one topic, the Manny Pacquiao- Eric Morales fight tomorrow.
 
            To show how important Manny’s fight is to the Eastern Visayas, big screens are already being installed in various places in the City of Tacloban . Satellites are also being put in place to ensure that the fight will be viewed without any interruption.
 
            Congresswoman Remedios L. Petilla and Governor Carlos Jericho Petilla, in their desire to give the people of Leyte, the opportunity to witness the much awaited fight, for free, they have installed a wide screen and satellite at the Leyte Sports and Civic Center in front of the Provincial Capitol.
 
            Tonight at 10:00 o’clock in the evening, the previous fights of Manny Pacquiao will be shown at the Leyte Sports and Civic Center . Tomorrow, at 8:00 o’clock in the morning, the Manny Pacquiao-Eric Morales fight will be viewed live without any admission fee, at the same venue.
 
            Congresswoman Petilla and Governor Petilla said that they are aware of the people’s enthusiasm in watching the fight because Manny has become the hero of the Filipinos. The fact that Manny’s mother is a Waray Waray, as was pronounced by Manny after he won in his latest fight, adds to the reason why Leytenos and Samarenos are praying for Manny’s triumph.
 
            Both Congresswoman Petilla and Governor Petilla join the Filipino people is praying for God to bless Manny.
 
            On the other hand, the City Government of Tacloban will also show the Big Fight at the new Tacloban City Convention Center . Per information received by PIA, however, those who will go to the Tacloban City Convention Center will have to pay for an admission fee.
 
            Other local government units in Eastern Visayas , PIA noted, also made provisions so that their constituents will be able to watch the much awaited fight. Pacquiao fight is the Filipino people’s fight, afterall.   (PIA 8)
