PACQUIAO DOES IT AGAIN

Tacloban   City (November 19) – Manny Pacquiao brought honor and pride to the country once again.  As in his previous fight, Pacquiao made the whole country forget everything for a moment and focus on Pacman alone.
 
            For the whole of the Sunday morning, everything was at standstill in the City of Tacloban with people going to different venues where satellite facilities were installed specifically for Pacquio’s fight. As one student commented, even the political rivals and the political detractors forgot their differences as the whole country prayerfully stood up together to rally behind Manny, the “kamao ng Pilipinas.”
 
            For those who were unable to go to the prepared venues, they had to spend the whole morning nailed in front of their television sets, many of whom forgot their lunch just to wait for Pacquiao’s match which happened only at 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon.
 
            The waiting and the missing of their lunch was worth it, many Taclobanons including beauty parlor attendants who said they had no customers the whole time until Manny Pacquio’s fight was over.
 
            This brings to mind a sincere wish that if the whole nation will only stand united always the way it is able to do so during Pacquio’s fight, this country will really go a long way.
 
            Pacquiao’s win will boost the morale of the Filipinos especially the young people in the countryside. This win brings more inspiration to hope for a better future and to make a difference in their life and in the life of their families and that of the nation, thru perseverance, strong determination and hard work.
 
            Pacquiao did a tremendously good performance knocking Morales down three times, a manifestation of his perseverance. He was never over-confident, ever focused to his goal, that is giving honor to his country and people.
 
            Manny Pacquiao always says that as he fights he carries with him the pride and honor of his country and people. Truly the epitome of a great Filipino, always placing God first, praying before and after his fight, it is prayed that the Filipino learn a great lesson from Manny Pacquiao.  (PIA 8)
