DSWD 8 identifies Handog Pamasko ng Pangulo beneficiaries in Biliran barangays

Tacloban City (December 20) — In connection with the Handog Pamasko ng Pangulo project in Region 8, the Department of Social Welfare and Development Regional Office 8 has already the list of barangays with the corresponding number of beneficiaries in the province of Biliran.
Mr. Orville Berino, the coordinator for the Project informed that the Handog Pamasko ng Pangulo Caravan is tentatively visit the province of Biliran, particularly at Biliran town in the morning of December 28. The same will visit the Province of Samar, particularly at Sta. Rita town at 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon on the same day.
Mr. Berino added that the list of the target barangays and the number of beneficiaries, is the output of the workshop of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development officers and Municipal Nutrition Action Officers of the Province of Biliran, held on Wednesday.
The workshop in Samar is being conducted today, Mr. Berino added. He is expecting to receive the output late in the afternoon of Thursday or morning of Friday.
For the municipality of Cabugcayan, the target barangays and the number of family beneficiaries are Balaquid, 100; Baso, 100; Bunga, 165; Caanibongan, 200; Casiawan, 268; Esperanza, 100; Langgao, 100; Libertad, 100; Looc, 200; Magbangon, 100; Pawikan, 200; Salawad, 100; and Talibong, 100. There will be a total of 1833 family beneficiaries from these 13 barangays.
The targeted 1901 family beneficiaries in the municipality of Caibiran are distributed in 17 barangays to wit: Alegria, 76; Asug, 50; Bari-is, 75; Binohangan, 100; Cabibihan,150; Kaulangohan, 50; Kawayanon, 50; Lo-oc, 75: Manlabang, 100; Maurang, 150; Palanay, 100; Palengque, 200; Tomalistis, 100; Union, 50; Uson, 150; Victory, 350; Villa Vicenta, 75.
The municipality of Maripipi was allotted 702 which are distributed to 15 barangays: Agutay, 50; Banlas, 40; Bato, 60; Binalayan East, 50; Binalayan West, 50; Binontuan, 60; Burabod, 30; Calbani, 50; Canduhao, 40; Casibang, 50; Danao, 40; Ermita, 42; Ol-og, 50; Trabugan, 30; and Viga, 60.
The fourth Municipal recipient in Biliran is Culaba whose 976 family recipients are distributed in 17 barangays: Salvacion, 33; Acaban, 80; Bool West, 100; Bool Central, 75; Bool East, 100; Patag, 45; Bacolod, 41; Calipayan, 50; Binung-toan, 50; Virginia, 95; Poblacion, 20; Marvel, 110; Lo-oc, 40; Hubahab, 25; Guindapunan, 20; San Roque, 35; and Pinamihagan, 57.
In the municipality of Biliran, the 579 targetted family beneficiaries are distributed in 11 barangays, to wit: Bato, 45; Burabod, 50; Busali, 45; Canila, 25; Hugpo, 40; Julita, 50; Pinangumhan, 40; San Isidro, 100; San Roque, 100; Sanggalang, 40 and Villa Enage, 44.
The 1,020 family beneficiaries in the municipality of Kawayan are from the twenty barangays namely, Tabunan North, 10; Masagongsong, 40; Buyo, 40; Balacson, 40; Kansanoc, 40; Tubig Guinoo, 40; Poblacion, 40; Balite, 40; Masagaosao, 40; Bulalacao, 60; Bilwang, 50; Burabod,, 50; Mapuyo, 80; Villa Cornejo, 60; Baganito, 40; Madao, 40; Ungale, 100; Tucdao, 80; San Lorenzo, 60; and Inasugan, 60. These barangays make a total 7,011 targeted beneficiaries in Biliran.
Aside from Biliran, ten municipalities in the province of Samar has been identified as beneficiaries of the Handog Pamasko ng Pangulo, with targeted 23, 895 beneficiaries.
There are 30,896 family beneficiaries of the Handog Pamasko ng Pangulo, in Region 8. (PIA 8)
