Here are the pics that I have taken last wednesday, August 12, 2009 along the National Highway (near the damage bridge at BNAC) wherein 1 gmelina tree was uprooted even if there was no weather disturbance. Fortunately no pedestrian or motorist was hurt but it cause almost 2 hrs traffic on both lanes.

It is but right to call on the concerned agencies (DPWH, DSWD & DENR) to conduct inspection of trees planted along the highways to determine whether these trees are not hazardous to traffic. There is an existing DENR AO (i forgot the number) which allows for the cutting of dead and hazardous trees.

    Hi samuel! It looks like the base of the tree was burned as shown on picture # 2. If it is true, the tree will eventually fall down because there is no longer a support to the heavy trunk.

    kinsa bay nagtugot nianang pagpanguba sa atong municipal streets? sigi man jud ug cutting ning taga naval water district sa atong mga cementadong kadalanan, unya biyaan raba nga dili ibalik ang semento. naa karon diha imong makita nga gipasagdan lang, pila na ka semana nga wala sunda ug timaha ang trabaho. nanghuot na intawon ning kalsada tungod niining ilang gibuhat. kana ra bang ilang pag guba sa semento dili ra ba tingali mabalik ang orihinal nga kalig-on sa semento, kay ug parkingan na ug dagkong sakyanan sigurado nga magun-ob jud kana nga portion.

    na unsa naman nang mga konseho sa naval? nangatulog lang? walay mapasa na balaodnon na ang mga iro higtan? or mag huwat pa na naay ma disgrasya.

    nagsalig nalang man ni sila na 4 wels ilang sakyan.
