Biliran province schools brings home the bacon of Banda Rayhak competition

TACLOBAN CITY – The long wait was over after the two primer schools in Biliran province triumphantly bagged the top place of the 2009 Pintados Banda Rayhak held at the RTR Plaza here.
For the senior division, the proclaimed winners were the Naval State University (NSU) as the 1st placer and 2nd place was given to Cathedral School of La Naval (CSN) were both from Biliran province and 3rd placer was the MHS Sisters Academy School of Basey, Samar.
Again, the 1st placer of the Junior Division was also from Biliran Cathedral School of la Naval (CSN – Elementary); 2nd place – Bolongan Elementary School and Nula Tula Elementary School as the 3rd placer.
There were several special awards given that added the excitement of the competing schools. NSU got 4 various like Best in Choreography, Best in Musicality, Best Band Leader, and Early Bird Award. Best is Relativity and Best in Props warded to CSN for the Junior Division and Best in Color Guard was given to Senior- CSN. The Dolongan Elementary School – best in Bela Uniform, Most inspiring Majorette goes to the Samar National High School and Nula Tula Elementary School was awarded as the Most Disciplined Contingent.
The said competition was participated by 17 different high schools as the Senior division and Junior division for the elementary.
Senior division – Leyte National High School, San Jose National High School of Dulag, Tanauan School of Craftsmanship and Home Industries, Naval Sate University, Cathedral School of la Naval, Samar National High School, Liceo Del Verbo Divino amd MHS Sisters Academey.
Junior division – San Jose Central School, RTR Elementary School, Rizal Central School, Nula Tula Elemntary School, Dolongan Elementary School, Lapaz Central School, Balud Elementary School, Cathedral School of la Naval and Tanauan Central School.
The winners received cash and trophies both junior and senior division – 1st place – P40, 000.00, 2nd place – P25, 00.00 and P10, 000.00 for the 3rd placer. Non winners received P4,000.00 as the consolation prize.
The performances of every contingent was ajudged according to the criteria – Musicality (musicality of bugle or lyre, excellence of drumming rhythm, melody and harmony, continuity of music); Marching and Maneuvering (choreography, blocking, response to rhythm, cops discipline); General Effect (uniform and props, condition of musical instruments, esprit de corps, audience appeal). Congrats to NSU secondary ug Cathedral Sshool of La Naval for the flying colors!
Salamat kaayu Congressman Chong for lending the 4 aircon school buses to cathedral school and 2 aircon school busses to NSU students.
For the SCUAA athelets and coaches of NSU leaving tomorrow for VSU (ViSCA), kodus to all of you. Thanks for ConGlenn for the aircon busses again. Setting-aside the fuel, maka save and mga schools sa Biliran kung my transport nga efficient sama sa “brain-child” ni Atty Glenn.

Congratulations to my dear pupils of Cathedral School of La Naval elementary dept. You made it!!! To Mark Jayson Carreon as the band master and Giselle Angeli Belciña as the band majorette and to all the participants, I´m so proud of you… I´m looking forward that you´ll get again the trophie for your upcoming competition in Bohol (if you´ll join, but I know you will). Keep up the good works! Break a leg!!!Go for glory kidzzz…. I´ll pray for your success… I´m far yet so near…I miss you guyss…
