As a public service, www.biliranisland.com will run a series of opinion polls starting this month pertaining to the local election in Biliran next year. A set of survey questions will be posted for a period of one week, followed by another set of questions to be posted preferably every Monday morning thereafter. For some higher positions, a similar set of questions will come in a monthly series (i.e., Series 1, Series 2, etc.) to measure the public pulse towards the May 2010 elections.
Requests for other surveys not related to what we have programmed are not free. Contact the webmaster for details.
Some gentle reminder:
We at www.biliranisland.com take our political surveys here seriously. We simply want to measure the public pulse related to the May 2010 elections. We have already conducted test surveys in the past, got some worthy and unworthy criticisms in the process, and learned from our experience.
We are barely into our second survey project and we already noticed some party trying to manipulate the process and skew our data beyond ordinary public recognition. At this point, we would like to serve notice that we do not publish survey results that we know could not be validated anyway by parallel surveys we shall conduct at the community and household levels. That is our first impulse; we will avail of other options later.
