AGIO-Biliran attends seminar-writeshop

NAVAL, Biliran – Members of the Association of Government Information officers (AGIO) of the province of Biliran are set to attend the two- day seminar-writeshop initiated by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), regional office 8, on February 28-March 1in Tacloban City.

The seminar-writeshop dubbed as “Do the Drill: Promoting the Gospel of Good Governance”, aims at conveying the communication thrusts of the Presidential Communication and Operations Office (PCOO) under the Aquino administration, according to Erlinda Olivia P. Tiu, Regional Director of PIA 8.

Tiu stressed that information officers and designated information officers need to know that information dissemination regarding government programs as well as the President’s activities is not only the duty of the PCOO but also of the information officers in all government agencies.

Being the president’s information arms, information officers benefit in attending seminar-writeshop as this where one of the speakers is no less than the Atty. Jose Fabia, PIA Director General.

As of this writing, Dionisio Oliva, Jr, Presidente of AGIO-Biliran, reported six AGIO members who have signified their attendance to the two-day seminar-writeshop. # (PIA Biliran)
