BiliranIsland.com celebrates another milestone in serving the info needs of the Biliranons

NAVAL, Biliran, April 21, (PIA) – It’s another milestone in the existence of biliranisland.com in Biliran province as it continues to provide information on the developments around to the Biliranons living here, in other parts of the country and in other countries around the world as it celebrates its 6th anniversary today, April 21, 2011.

However, because of the observance of the Holy Week where people are focused to church activities, the grand celebration will be held on Sunday, April 24 at the Agta Beach Resort in Brgy. Talahid, Almeria, Biliran.

Information gathered by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), Biliran Provincial Information Center from Marlon Mecaral, Administrator of biliranisland.com revealed that part of the day-long activities of the celebration is the informal interaction with the staff and reporters of the website with the media in Biliran and the PIA staff who are invited to the gathering.

Aside from the media in Biliran province, the 6th anniversary celebration of biliranisland.com will likewise be attended by some local officials of the province and the municipalities, benefectors, sponsors, donors and other guests.

During the gathering, issues regarding the upgrading of equipment used by biliranisland.com to ensure continuous supply of fresh information regarding the happenings around the province which affect all sectors of the community will also be tackled.

Mr. Mecaral said that for the past six years, biliranisland.com which started its operations in April 21, 2005 has been very active in providing timely and relevant informaton to the Biliranons.

Likewise, biliranisland.com staff actively provided coverages to special events and important occasions that took place in the province of Biliran over the years.

He added that starting the middle part of 2011, biliranisland.com will go on strongly in promoting the tourist destinations in the province to entice more domestic and foreign tourists to visit the island paradise of Biliran.

He added that biliranisland.com will always be apolitical in providing information to the Biliranons.
