Ppa clients, VPAs attend therapeutic community training

NAVAL, Biliran, May 14 – Eighteen clients and 11 Volunteer Probation Aides (VPAs) of the Parole and Probation Administration (PPA), Biliran Provincial Office attended recently a Therapeutic Community (TC) training held at the WMJ Compound in Barangay Calumpang, Naval, Biliran.
This was learned by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), Biliran Provincial Information Center from Rosana Solite, Provincial Director of the PPA in the province of Biliran.
She said that the three-day training dealt on behavior change and modification of clients from wrong living to right living.
She added that Therapeutic Community training is one of the rehabilitation programs utilized by the Parole and Probation Administration which inculcates good behavior and the acquisition of emotional, psychological, spiritual and survival skills, so that clients will become reintegrated into the community where they belong as reformed and law-abiding individuals.
The three-day activity, according to Ms. Solite, was sponsored jointly by the Local Government Units (LGUs) of Naval through Mayor Susan Parilla and Culaba, through Mayor Enrico Uyvico and the Parole and Probation Administration regional office no. 8. (FEJ/PIA-Biliran)
