NAVAL, Biliran – “Membership to Pag-ibig Fund is now mandatory,” thus said Raul Camino, Marketing Specialist of Pag-ibig Fund regional office in Tacloban City who is also in-charge of the satellite office of the said agency in Naval, Biliran during the Kapihan sa PIA forum held at Radyo Natin-Naval, today, Thursday, September 15.

He said, the new policy which took effect in January 10 last year mandates all employers in private establishments and organizations whose employees are receiving a salary of P1,500 and above and are not yet members of the Fund to be enrolled for membership.

He mentioned those who are working as sales clerks in business establishments and other organizations and firms that employ people.

He added that self-employed individuals and domestic helpers are also included in the mandatory membership.

Furthermore, he said, casual and job order employees and other workers regardless of status of employment must be enrolled by their employers for membership with Pag-ibig Fund.

Likewise, Overseas Filipino Workers are included in the mandatory membership to the Fund.

He said, as the employee becomes a member of Pag-ibig Fund, an amount equivalent to 2% of his salary will be deducted from his salary as his personal contribution while the other 2% equivalent of his monthly salary will be shouldered by his employer.

For workers and employees, receiving less than P1,500 salary a month, an amount equivalent to 1% of his monthly salary will be his monthly personal contribution while the employers contribution is equivalent to 2% of the salary of the worker.

He said, Pag-ibig Fund is continuously working towards excellent service to its clients in its 33 year of existence as he said the motto of the Fund which is “Sa Pag-ibig Fund, ang Pinaghirapan ay Maaasahan.”

He added that Pag-ibig members and those who would like to become members of the Fund may just visit their website at www.pagibigfund.gov.ph for more updated information about new policies and guidelines of the agency.

The satellite office of Pag-ibig Fund in Naval, Biliran which is located at the 2nd Floor of the Naval municipal hall provides more convenience to members who are residing in Biliran province as they can easily transact business with the office like filing of the multi-purpose loan, housing loans and other services without going to Tacloban City which is more expensive.

The satellite office is open to serve the Biliranons every second Tuesday of the month.

Mr. Camino said, he allocates three days, Tuesday to Thursday, to work at the satellite office to entertain the needs of Pag-ibig members here. (FEJ/PIA 8 Biliran)

good day…we would just like to inquire about your policy of availing short term loan, 5k below could not be honored as to the basic net take home pay will be basing…if that is so, we cannot use our right to avail such since we are only gaining below 5k monthly salary…we will ask if do have an option to cease from contributing since it is then useless to continue for one of the member’s aim is to loan…can we stop from our membership?…please take a consideration with regards to this matter…thank you!!!

COMELEC OFFICIAL RESULTS: Biliran May 2013 Local Elections

COMELEC OFFICIAL RESULTS: Biliran May 2013 Local Elections

This is one political filipino trait when it comes to election that MUST change! Nobody concedes defeat, ug pilde gilingbugan. Labi na ni si Glenn, anogon jud kay I thought when he first won na he would be an example of how a winner should portent to be, instead nagsigue lang ug pang yawyaw nga walay hinundan against the Espina’s! So the people wised up and threw him under the bus! Let this be a lesson to upcoming politicians na ug magdaug mo do the job that the people elected you to do, and stop going after the person that you defeated!
