NAVAL, Biliran – “The command of the Biliran Police Provincial Office (BPPO) will be characterized by simplicity” said Police Senior Superintendent Felix A. Diloy, in his assumption speech as the new provincial director of the provincial police office in Biliran province.
Police Senior Superintendent Diloy assumed as the new provincial police director in Biliran province in a simple turn-over ceremony held today, Thursday, June 7, 2012, at the BPPO in Barangay Larrazabal, Naval Biliran. He replaced Police Senior Superintendent Roel. B. Acidre who served as BPPO provincial director for three months and 17 days.
PSSupt Diloy was the chief of the Police Community Relations (PCR) Office at the regional office of the Philippine National Police in Eastern Visayas before he assumed office as the new provincial police director in Biliran province. PSSupt. Acidre will replace the post vacated by PSSupt Diloy in PNP-8.
He aimed for simplicity in individual lifestyle and personal values and even in all aspects of administrative management and operational functions as he occupies now the top post of the provincial police office in Biliran province.
“We will adopt simplified management systems and procedures in personnel and logistics management, finance and comptrollership, training and plans and police community relations” the new Biliran police director added.
He related the value of simplicity in his leadership style with the Biblical story of David slaying the giant Goliath with what all he had to conquer, a slingshot and two stones.
“He worked with what he got and defeated the enemy and succeeded because he looked at Goliath not as an adversary too big to defeat but as a target too large to miss” Diloy further said.
Meanwhile, PSSupt Diloy pledged to offer his full undivided commitment to serve and to make sure that no one will be left unattended.
“I will be here not only to give orders but to listen in the pursuit of the tasks mandated” PSSupt Diloy said as he enjoined the men and women of the BPPO to internalize the advocacy espoused by the new PNP chief dubbed as “Serbisyong May Pagkukusa” as servants and protectors of the people.
He emphasized that the BPPO program of action will also be anchored on the 10-point action program of the PNP leadership with emphasis on the implementation of police integrated patrol system, periodic performance audit, enhancement of morale and welfare projects and the policy of reward and punishment.
He also stressed that he is very particular and persistent about discipline where he vowed to lead by example. (rvictoria/PIA 8 Biliran)
