At least four more people died after being hit by lightning in separate incidents in Palawan, Rizal and Biliran provinces this week, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said Wednesday.

In its 6 a.m. report, the NDRRMC said two of the fatalities were from Palawan, and one each from Biliran and San Mateo town in Rizal.

The NDRRMC identified the two fatalities from Palawan as:

- Toto Ranis
- Jomar Dilao

Both were residents of San Nicolas village in Linapacan town in Palawan. Their bodies bore third-degree burn marks.

Investigation showed their bodies were found floating behind a half-submerged motorized banca “Princess Jessa” at 6:20 a.m. off Gintongan Island in Bulalacao, Coron, Palawan.

Found and turned over to the victims’ families were P42,587 cash, a plastic bag with bread, and four mobile phones.

In Biliran in Eastern Visayas, lightning hit and killed farmer Allan Casas, 48, at about 4 a.m. Monday in Barangay Atipolo in Naval town.

In Rizal province, one of at least six people injured by a lightning strike in San Mateo town last Monday succumbed to his injuries Tuesday.

The NDRRMC identified the fatality as Jayson Cristobal, 15. Cristobal was the second fatality in the San Mateo incident, after Jepoy Carriaga, 18, late Monday.

Four of the five remaining injured in the incident were identified as Alfredo Cristobal, Eli Morales, Boknoy Morales and Bitoy Morales. The sixth was an unidentified woman. — LBG, GMA News

COMELEC OFFICIAL RESULTS: Biliran May 2013 Local Elections

COMELEC OFFICIAL RESULTS: Biliran May 2013 Local Elections

This is one political filipino trait when it comes to election that MUST change! Nobody concedes defeat, ug pilde gilingbugan. Labi na ni si Glenn, anogon jud kay I thought when he first won na he would be an example of how a winner should portent to be, instead nagsigue lang ug pang yawyaw nga walay hinundan against the Espina’s! So the people wised up and threw him under the bus! Let this be a lesson to upcoming politicians na ug magdaug mo do the job that the people elected you to do, and stop going after the person that you defeated!
