PhilHealth-8 extends schedule of premium rate increase for self-employed members

NAVAL, Biliran – The office of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) in Region 8 informed that the effectivity of the increase in premium rate for self-employed members was extended to October 1.

According to a PhilHealth public service announcement aired on June 29-30 in DYVL-Aksyon Radyo prepared by Miramar Palacio-Zabala and approved by Atty. Jerry F. Ibay, PhilHealth-8 regional vice-president, the original schedule for the effectivity in the increase of premium rate for self-employed members was on July 1, 2012.

The PhilHealth advisory which was also furnished to PIA, advised self-employed members of PhilHealth to avail of the 50% off promo if they will pay the whole year premium payment for 2012 and 2013 on or before September 28, 2012.

Self-employed members will only pay P1,200 for a year or P2.400 for two years within the specified period given, the PhilHealth advisory informed.

“The new scheme was made by PhilHealth so that more self-employed members can avail of the discounted rate and to ensure their health coverage for 2013,” the PhilHealth advisory stated.

PhilHealth also informed all self-employed members that the deadline for the payment of premium for the 2nd quarter had been set on June 30, 2012. PhilHealth had opened its office and information desk at Robinsons Mall in Tacloban City for the purpose.

The PhilHealth advisory also informed the public to call telephone number 523-1195 for more details about the new scheme to ensure the health protection of their family. (rvictoria/PIA 8 Biliran)

      This is one political filipino trait when it comes to election that MUST change! Nobody concedes defeat, ug pilde gilingbugan. Labi na ni si Glenn, anogon jud kay I thought when he first won na he would be an example of how a winner should portent to be, instead nagsigue lang ug pang yawyaw nga walay hinundan against the Espina’s! So the people wised up and threw him under the bus!
