Naval, Biliran (Feb. 5, 2009) – A stabbing incident that happened this morning near the barangay hall of Barangay Calumpang this town resulted in the death of one person and the wounding of his attacker.
In an initial report filed by P/Supt. Anastacio E. Agullo, Chief of the Naval Police Station, it was stated that the stabbing incident transpired on or about 8:40 this morning while a team led by P/SInsp. Demillo of the Naval Police Station was conducting a mobile patrol towards the direction of Barangay Calumpang.
The police officer Demillo mentioned in the report was P/SInsp. Francisco G. Demillo, the Deputy Chief of the Naval Police Station.
Based on the report, it was stated that upon passing the Capitol ground, a man flagged down the mobile patrol and was asked for police assistance, stating that a man is in the process of being stabbed by another man at the barangay hall of Barangay Calumpang.
The team immediately alighted out of their mobile car and ran towards the scene of the incident. P/SInsp. Demillo in the frontline saw a man on top of another man whose face was on the ground, still stabbing repeatedly the back of the man lying on the ground, the report added.
It was narrated in the police report that P/SInsp. Demillo shouted in a loud voice,”this is the police stop, drop your weapon and hands on your head.”

It was further stated in the report that the man did not heed him as he continued to stabbed the victim. This prompted the said officer to fire a warning shot, and that upon hearing the warning shot, the man rose and tried to attack the police by aiming his weapon, a Rambo knife, at the officer. The latter was forced to fire at him, hitting him on his body to immobilize him.
The suspect, after he was hit, immediately dropped his weapon to the ground. The police were able to subdue him and bring him to the hospital for medical treatment. The stabbing victim was pronounced dead by attending physicians and later identified as Leo Narrido Ancero while the suspect was identified as Felimon B. Narrido, as stated in the report.
The murder weapon is in the custody of the police at present and a progress report will soon follow. The investigation is handled by SPOI Allan Asodesin, the police officer assigned to the case.

It appears to me that the above blog was copied in toto in a police blotter, can’t you not make your own report based on the incident? Well, this explains why it took you almost 12 hours to post the above blog, kasi yong police blotter di pa nagagawa.

Incidents like these happened everywhere, so its not a shocking news anymore… Sa ilang pagtuo masulbar ang problema kung may pinatyanay, midako na nuon ang problema, dili lang emotional but aso financial… Hope this will serve as a lesson sa daghang mga yuta diha, ayuha na ninyo daan ug bahin samtang tuhay pa mga hunahuna kay usahay dili gyud masabtan ang panahon… Maayu nala wala mi kayutaan aron way awayan ang mga kaapohan lol… Bitaw, kidding aside, salamat gihapon sa balita, at least aware ming mga lagyo sa mga nahitabo diha sa ato…

your source is inaccurate. the uncle did not own the land; it was owned by Leo’s father who passed away and the land was given to the children. the uncle just happened to live in their land; the uncle had his land closed to Leo’s but he already sold it. now, he wanted to get what Leo had. That’s one greedy uncle! Leo never hurt any family member; the wife, the daughter, and the son, including the husbnd (Leo’s uncle) pllotted the whole thing. The wife and the daughter brought a couple of woods (with nails) as their weapons and hit Leo in the back. He fell on the ground faced down and the uncle and his son got on top and stabbed Leo nonstop. FYI The killer uncle is the brother of Leo’s mom. Definitely, the land never belongs to their side but to the father side of Leo. If this man has some common sense and decency, the way he stabbed Leo is not a sign of self-defense; when the police stopped him, he should have recognized the authority, but he tried to stupidly fight the law (police), and good for him he got shot, but bad for him that he did not die!

Hi Robin,
The wife and the son are in jail. The daughter is out to take care of the other siblings. But the charges will be filed against the daughter. In fact the whole family is being charged. I didn’t know that Felimon Narrido passed away. Well, may the Lord have mercy on his soul. Those who commented positively on Leo’s behalf, I appreciate deeply your concerns. He was my cousin, and he lived with us for years. We had good memories growing up, and he was just a quiet guy as far as I remember. So sadly, I won’t be there at his fumeral because I’m a couple of continents away.
TO NavalianUSA, I don’t know if they will sell the land.
On a different note:
I tried to read the rest of the comments, but sometimes I have a hard time understanding the dialect. I read the news story, and even though the grammar needs editing, I believe the reporter did a fine job in describing the tragic incident and in providing the details. I think the purpose is clear: to communicate and to inform. We should be proud of the effort and initiative taken by the news writer. After all we got the message. No need to dish him out. Besides, the immediate readers are not the foreigners but the pinoy themselves. Mr. Writer (whoever you are) kudos to your chosen endeavor. You delivered an objective report. MORE POWER!

To NavalianUSA I’m one of the nieces po of my late tito Leo. He was the brother of my dad. They’re from Libtong po. anak ni teresa ancero former barangay captain ng libtong.
To barbara thanks for telling them the story tita. I know you po. andito nga po pa la si Lola Bebe sa biliran noong april pa po.
sa mga ni-panig sa ako tito Leo: thanks. though Lolo ra xhad nako ang nagpatay sa akong tito. MAy they both rest in peace. SO far wla na naman pong away sa family namin. May kasama po yung tito ko nung time na yun isang batang lalaki that boy po after ng incident na-trauma po sya. But yung asawa ng nagpatay sa tito ko is in jail na po. we’ll still continue to look for justice pa rin po. thank you.
